President Theodore Roosevelt

President Theodore Roosevelt was the twenty sixth president of the United States. He was born in New York, New York on October 27, 1858. He moved to the Badlands of Dakota Territory and captured an outlaw when he lived there. During the Spanish American War, he was a lieutenant colonel and led a charge at the battle of San Juan. He became the Governor of New York in 1898. He became president in 1901 and served to 1909. He died on January 6, 1919 in Oyster Bay, New York.
