President Andrew Jackson

        Andrew Jackson was born on March 15,1767 in Waxhaw, South Carolina. He was the 7th President of the United States and was in office from 1829 to 1837. He was a great general in the Battle of New Orleans and was recognized for it.  That is how he was elected to be president.  His nickname was "Old Hickory" which was given to him by the people.  He was a co-founder of the democratic party and that is what he is known for.  He is a great person and will never be forgotten by the people of America.
