Franklin D. Roosevelt

Franklin D. Roosevelt was an intelligent man. He was 32nd president of our country. He was born on January 30, 1882 in Georgia. By the time he finished high school, he attended Harvard University and Columbia Law School. He left college because he meet the love of his life, Eleanor Roosevelt. He admired his fifth cousin, Theodore Roosevelt. He then entered public service through politics. He then won the election to New York Senate. He then ran for Vice President as a Democrat in 1920. The next year he was struck with poliomyelitis. Seven years later he became governor of New york. The day the Japanese hit Pearl Harbor, he directed an organization of the Nation’s manpower and resources for global war. By the time the war was to a close, his health was becoming worse. He died on April 12, 1945. Today he is the only president to have more than 2 terms of office.
