James K. Polk

James K. Polk was the eleventh president of the United States. One of the significant historical  event James did was  He signed the treaty from the Mexican war in 1846. Anther significant historical  event James did was settled the United States border with Canada, avoiding the war in 1845. His presidency is remembered for stopping the war and fulfilled his promise to only sever one term.
