John Quincy Adams

John Quincy Adams was the 6th president of the United States. He was born in Massachusetts in the year 1767. As a young adult, he was the minister to 5 different countries: Netherlands, Portugal, Prussia, Russia, and Great Britain. He was elected onto the Massachusetts senate in 1803. Adams was elected president in 1824 and was sworn into office in 1825.His presidency is most remembered for working on the American System. At his first meeting with congress, he made a layout for roads, canals, and universities. He died in 1848.
