Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson was born in Albremarle County, Virginia 1735. His father Peter died 8 years later. Thomas attended the college of William and Mary in 1760-62. In 1776 he drafted the Declaration of Independence. He served as the 3rd president of the United States of America. Jefferson also made the Louisiana Purchase and organized the Lewis and Clark expedition. Thomas died on July 4, 1826. He is probably most remembered for the Louisiana Purchase, the Lewis and Clark expeditions, and finally the Declaration of Independence.
