John Quincy Adams

President John Quincy Adams was the sixth president of the United States. He had left history that has made us who we are as a country. It started when he was 26 years of age, he was appointed minister of the Netherlands.   In 1802 he was elected into the United States Senate.  Six years later President Madison appointed him Minister of Russia. In 1828 he broke ground for the 185 mile canal. In the 1900's they decided he was considered heir to presidency. He is especially remembered for the man who fought for his presidency. One man tried to trouble his career, Andrew Jackson. Though Jackson turned many against Adams, Adams eventually won an election.
