Jimmy Carter

    Jimmy Carter was the 39th president. During his presidency he dealt with the availability of jobs and energy shortages. He also worked hard to help the environment by increasing the land in national parks. He established the Department of Education and the National Energy Policy. President Carter also dealt with matters in the middle east such as bringing peace between Egypt and Israel. He is remembered for being a president who made peaceful agreements and helped the U.S. with education, finances, energy crises and the environment.
