My Presidents name is James Monroe. He was the fifth President of the United States. He was the Senator of Virginia from 1790-1794. Monroe was Governor of the state of Virginia from 1799-1802, and in 1811. James Monroe was the Secretary of state from 1811-1817, and Secretary of War from 1814-1815. He was the President from March 14, 1817 to March 3, 1825. During his time as President, James Monroe admitted Mississippi, Illinois, Alabama, Maine, and Missouri.
