President Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th President  He was a commanding officer in the Army on D-Day.   He became president of Columbia University , then left to command NATO forces in 1951,  and then was persuaded, by many, to run in the presidential race in 1952.   Then, during his second year of presidency, he signed a treaty with Korea that brought peace to the country.  President Dwight D. Eisenhower is now remembered for all the peace he has brought to our country, and other countries too.
