Lyndon B. Johnson was president number 36 of the United States. Some historical events in his lifetime, were that he was a major leader of the Democratic Party, and was responsible for the civil rights in the country and led the US into the Vietnam War. Johnson detested the war, and proclaimed he would no longer seek re-election. In addition, under Johnson the US made spectacular explorations in space. His presidency is remembered for his full efforts to provide peace and unity in the United States and throughout the world. He is known as the "Peaceful President"
