Theodore Roosevelt
Theodore Roosevelt, the twenty-sixth president. He was elected in 1901 and left office as president in 1909. He was a very powerful president. “But I did greatly broaden the use of executive.” This shows that Theodore Roosevelt was very powerful and cared about his executives. He took the view that the President as a "steward of the people" should take whatever action necessary for the public good unless expressly forbidden by law or the Constitution." I did not usurp power," he wrote, "but I did greatly broaden the use of executive power."
