William H. Harrison, with a grand military career, won the greatest reputation 
and fame with American voters.  He won much more military success when he was 
given the authority of the Army in the Northwest with the rank of brigadier general
Because of his showing of national heroism of serving in the Northwest he was 
nominated the ninth presidentAfter serving in the northwestern territories, he 
served as commander and Captain.  He was a strong and reliable man that did 
whatever he could for his country.  His major task as a governor was to obtain title 
to Indian land so settlers could press forward into the wilderness.   Harrison was 
responsible for defending the settlement.  This man named William H. Harrison
 received best status and recognition with the people of America because of his
