Jimmy Carter, the 39th President, Was elected in 1977 and left presidency in 1981. Jimmy’s achievements helped the United States Very Much. Carter won 297 electoral votes to 241 against Ford in is First election. This shows that Carter was a very convincing man who promised a lot of tasks. Some major achievements that Carter completed were, He dealt with the energy shortage by establishing a national energy policy and by decontrolling domestic petroleum prices to stimulate production and also He prompted Government efficiency through civil service reform and proceeded with deregulation of the trucking and airline industries. This shows that some of Carters Achievements were very important and helped make life easier. James Carter also had 3 sons, their names were, John William, James Earl III, Donnel Jeffrey, and a daughter, Amy Lynn. This also shows that James was a very devoted farther and a great president.

James Carter, the 39th President, a great president died, in Nov. 26 in Chicago of complications related to a stroke at the age of 77.
