Richard M. Nixon (1913-1994)

President Nixon, told by many to be evil, did numerous treaties and peace brigades while in office. During visits in 1972 to Beijing and Moscow, he reduced tensions with China and the U.S.S.R. This shows that Nixon is able to persuade people in the direction of peace. In January 1973, Nixon announced an accord with North Vietnam to end American involvement in Indochina. This shows that Nixon cares for the lives of his fellow man and also the troops that protect the country. Nixon said while resigning, “We have begun the process of healing which is so desperately needed in America.” This shows that even when the whole world hates him Nixon still tries to do good for America. Told by people around the world that he is bad, Nixon does a lot of good and peace mission in his terms.
