President Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson, the third President, becomes one of the greatest leaders of the United States.  Thomas Jefferson buys the Louisiana Purchase from France and doubles the size of the U.S. This shows that he cares for his young nation in making it larger and obtaining more resources for the people. Before becoming president, Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence which made the U.S. its own country. Jefferson’s writing skills from being a lawyer and from being a politician help him write one of the most important documents in the country’s history.  Pres. Jefferson designed and built the University of Virginia. This President shows that education needs to be important and it also shows he cares for the youth by providing a University for them so they can learn. The third president of the U.S. shows his intelligence in making the right decisions for his country by making the country better for the people living in it.
