 Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan was a great man and lived his life to the fullest by doing all he could to help his country and fellow Americans.  For example, Reagan was president of the Screen Actors Guild (1952, 1959-1960).  This shows that even though he was a magnificent president he was also a very distinguished actor, his experience in acting also helped become well known as The Great Communicator.  For example, during Reagan’s

two terms he increased defense spending 35 percent, improved relations with the Soviet Union and won the Cold War.  This shows that he was a very skilled president at war and could easily work out problems with other countries.  For example, Reagan was shot only 69 days after he was sworn in as president, but quickly recovered from this incident.  This shows that his grace and wit during this dangerous incident caused his popularity to soar.  Ronald Reagan was an amazing president and will always be remembered in the hearts of Americans forever.
