Thomas
Jefferson
Thomas
Jefferson was a great political leader during his presidency. He served two
terms of office and is noted for being the third president, writing the
Declaration of Independence, and purchasing the Louisiana Territory.
For
example, he wrote the Declaration of Independence when he was only 33 years old.
He
was a very skilled writer, was extremely educated, and cared extraordinarily
much about our country.
Another example
is that he was the third president of the United States and had to be voted upon
35 times before he gained his presidency. This
shows that Jefferson was a tough man because he didn’t give up after the fifth,
tenth, or even twentieth time. Jefferson
also bought the Louisiana Territory form the French king, Napoleon, and
authorized the Lewis and Clark expedition. Jefferson
had a great deal of political knowledge to get such an immense amount of land
and use it so wisely.
Thomas
Jefferson made many great accomplishments in his life and truly helped America
become a bigger, better country.
