Tribute to Truman
Harry Truman, an excellent role-model and highly ranked thirty-third president from 1945-1953, faced several challenging decisions, many crucial to the future of America, and solved them heroically and with peace and unity in mind. For example, during the end of World War II and the first two months of his presidency, he approved the dropping of two bombs on Japan, which caused them to surrender a few days later. This shows that Truman, even under pressure, had the ability to think critically and find a solution to a serious matter, which is a very effective quality in a good leader. For example, Harry Truman accomplished a transition from a war economy to a peaceful one without plummeting the nation into a recession. This shows that he was a well educated man that knows how to spread peace and harmony in times of sorrow and tragedy. For example, Truman issued executive orders desegregating the armed forces and forbidding racial discrimination in Federal employment. This shows that he believed in a fair and unbiased nation and will strive for acceptance of every diverse person, meaning each and every one of us. In conclusion, Harry S. Truman, the thirty-third president of the United States of America, spectacular leader and promoter of peace, and believer of an equal nation, made a difference in the world by being a hero in his solutions to unbelievable dilemmas.
