Franklin Roosevelt

Franklin Roosevelt was a great president, he came to office when America needed a strong leader most.  When he was 39, he was diagnosed with polio, but he still devoted most of his time to planning a United Nations.  He wanted the best for the world, and he didn’t let his disability stop him.  Franklin Roosevelt served as president for 12 years(longer than any other president), and before he was president he was re-elected twice for the Senator of the State of New York.  He really loved politics and making changes for the better.  His first act as president was to deal with the U.S.’s banking crisis (the Great Depression).  He took care of the most important matters first so people could go back to their original way of living(before the crisis).  Franklin Roosevelt our country get through one of the hardest times in U.S. history, and he succeeded.
