Vocabulary

Right Atrium- the right atrium receives blood from the body that is low in oxygen and high in carbon dioxide.

Right Ventricle- the right ventricle pumps  oxygen-poor blood to the lungs.

Left Atrium-the oxygen rich blood moves from the lungs into the left atrium.

Left Ventricle- the left ventricle pumps oxygen-rich blood to all part of the body

Aorta- the aorta carries the blood from the left ventricle to all parts of the body.

Septum- the septum prevent oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood from mixing in the heart.

Loop One- in the first loop the blood flows from the lungs and back. The oxygen poor blood goes to the lungs and the oxygen in the air and the carbon dioxide in the lungs are exchanged.

Loop Two- To the body and back. the blood from the lungs gets pumped into the left atrium then to the aorta and then it gets pumped into all parts of the body.

capillaries- tiny blood vessels were substances are exchanged between the blood and the body and blood vessels

veins-blood vessels that carries blood back to the hearts.

arteries- blood vessels that carries blood away from the heart.

blood vessels- the different types of blood tubes that carries blood to the body, there are capillaries, veins, and arteries.
