The  Legend   of   the   Candy Cane

By Kennedy K.

Candy canes  are made from white  candy  to represent the  purity of   Christ  . The red stripes  on the candy cane stand  for the blood   Christ shed. The  hard  candy was  shaped so that  it  would  resemble a

“J “turned   upside down, a shepherd’s  staff.   The green stripe reminds  us that  God  has given us eternal  life. We can share the love  of  Christ.    We used  hard candy  because Jesus is  the rock of  ages.

The Legend of the Candy Cane

The white on the candy cane represents my  savior. The red stripes on a candy cane represent the blood of Jesus. The shape of the candy cane stands for two things. It stands for the shepherd’s staff. It also stands for J for Jesus. If we break the candy cane it reminds us that Jesus is the rock  of our salvation. The green stripes remind us that Jesus is a gift from God. We break the candy cane because it stands for his body that was broken at the table. The candy cane is peppermint flavored because it reminds us about hyssop. Candy canes are made hard because it reminds us that Christ is the rock of ages.

The Candy Cane is white to represent

The purity of Christ. It is red to represent the blood of Christ. It is shaped like a J and a staff. When we break a candy cane, it reminds us of pain of the Jesus Christ. It reminds us that Jesus is a gift from God. To share the love of Jesus. And to  also share the message of God. It is peppermint flavored and hard Because Christ is the rock of ages.

The Legend of the Candy Cane

Candy canes are made from white candy because the beating of Jesus took for are healing. The wide red stripes on the candy cane represent the virgin birth, sinless life and purity of our Lord. The narrow red stripes on the candy cane symbolize that by His stripes, or wounds, we are healed. The two different shapes that stand for the candy cane are the shepherd’s staff, if you turn it upside down it’s a J for Jesus. When we break our candy cane it reminds us that Jesus’ body was broken for us. A green stripe is added because it is a reminder that God had given us eternal life. We should share our candy cane because it gives someone else love. The flavoring in the candy cane is peppermint, which is similar to hyssop. It is made of hard candy to remind us of that Christ is the rock of our salvation.
