- There are more than two hundred breeds of horses.
- The center of the horses hooves is called a frog.
- Horses above the height of 16 hands, live for about twenty years.
- Horses under 16 hands live to around 30 years.
- Young horses are called foals.
- Horses sleep standing up, but if they are really tired they will lay down.
- Foals are taken away from there mothers six months after they are born.
