My Hero

My hero, Nancy, inspires me to do great things someday. She designed a quilt after the American flag for September 11th with the names of people who died, were hurt or injured on the back. She taught me how to sew and all the ins and outs of it. She makes blankets and clothes for preemie babies, and for hospitals. Nancy encourages me to use my imagination and listens to my ideas. She also gives me ideas and tries to understand my ideas if she doesn't. She understands how I feel. I want to be able to make patterns, have good ideas, and patience like her. I will try to achieve this by never giving up on projects and making an effort with trying new things. I will continue to sew something even if I think I won't be able to do it. I will strive to do my best, and if at first I don't succeed, I'll try, try again.
