Genius and Species - Haliaeetus Leucocephalus
It is rather amazing that the Bald Eagles wingspan can be up to seven feet. The
bald eagle is a vertebrate bird of prey from the phylum chordata. The bald eagle has
certain requirements to habitat and have specially designed physical characteristic for the
habitat that they live in.
The Bald Eagle has several useful characteristics, including good eyes, strong talons and large wings. For Example, the Bald Eagle has very keen eyesight and can see a mouse from more 100 feet away. This shows that the eagles eyes were designed for hunting, even at far distances. For another example, the eagles two strongest physical qualities are its wings and its talons. This characteristic shows that not only can a Bald Eagle see its prey, but it can capture it and carry it away. In addition, a full grown eagles wingspan can be up to seven feet or more! This characteristic shows that they have wings longer than the average human, meaning that the eagle has extremely strong wings. These characteristics are what make the Bald eagle dominate in its society.
The Bald Eagle has limited habitat area, and can only live in places that have certain requirements. For example, they need trees with strong roots, for nesting. This shows that in order for them to nest they need to find a sturdy tree with good foundation before they even think of building a nest. For another example, eagles live on lakes that do not freeze. This shows that they prefer to live on non-frozen lakes because most of their food is there. In addition, eagles must have good feeding-ground. This shows that eagles do not settle in a place without any food. In conclusion Eagles only will live in an environment that has the things necessary.
The bald eagle is running out of this environment because of us poisoning it. The Bald Eagles are forced to live on special reserves in Alaska that meet all of their needs. The solution to this problem is do not poison the air.
