Isn't interesting that a giraffes neck can help them get food? Giraffes are from the phylum Chordata and are vertebrates with the longest spine.  Giraffes have a lot of characteristics but have a simple habitat.

Giraffes are very interesting animals and have many characteristics.  One of these characteristics is that they have very long necks.  Thos characteristics helps them by reaching the top of the trees to eat leaves.  Another characteristics is that they are very tall and have long legs.  This characteristics helps giraffes because predators, such as hyenas and lions, can't eat large mammals.  In addition, another characteristics is that giraffes have the longest spine.  This characteristic is why they are so tall.  Giraffes are the tallest living animals in the world.

The giraffes habitat is very simple.  For example, giraffes get there food from leaves on the top of trees.  This show that they are really tall and are vegetarians.  Another example is, giraffes drink every 2 to 3 days when water is available at lakes and rivers.  This shows that giraffes don't drink to much water.  In addition, giraffes live in loose, open herds in arid and dry savannas.  This shows that giraffes like to be on their own.  Giraffes are very interesting and simple animals.

Giraffes are very different from a lot of other animals.  Because giraffe's eat leaves we should not cut down trees in their environment.
