The giraffe has many useful characteristics that help it survive in the environment.   For example, one characteristic is “the giraffes color which is brown to rich chestnut in color” (nature-wildlife.com).   This shows that the giraffe uses its color to blend in with the trees and plants.   Another example is, “ that it’s the tallest mammal” (nature-wildlife.com).   This shows that it can reach the tops of trees to get its food.  Another example is, “that they have horns that are all bone” (nature-wildlife.com).   This shows that they have horns to fight the lions and the hyenas with so that they will not get killed.  All of these characteristics help the giraffe survive in the environment and live a healthy life.

The giraffe has certain elements it needs to survive.   For example, one element is that “it lives in dry savanna zones, wherever trees occur” (nature-wildlife.com).   This shows that they need tress to eat to survive.  Another example is, “they eat the leaves of a variety of deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs” (fonz.org). This shows that they are herbivores.   Another example is, “they live along Riparian forests (those growing along watercourses) are especially important to giraffes living in arid areas” (fonz.org).   This shows that they need water to survive.  These habitat elements help a giraffe to survive in the environment.

Amazingly the giraffe has the longest spine out of all the animals on earth.  The giraffe's characteristics consist of that they are the tallest mammal, have horns that are all bone, and are brown to rich chestnut in color, their habitat consists of dry savanna zones, wherever trees occur, they live along Riparian forests, and they eat leaves of a variety of deciduous evergreen trees and shrubs.  We should not put dirty water into the water they drink and we should not litter because the giraffe could die and start to become endangered.
