Amazingly the leopard is one of the only animals that can carry a gazelle all the way up a tree to feast on.  The leopard, from the phylum chordata, is a very intresting vertebrate.  The leopard has very unique physical characteristics that help them to survive in their habitat.

The leopard has many characteristics like claws, teeth, and fur.  For example, the leopard has viciously sharp teeth. This characteristic helps them by bringing down their prey to devour.  In addition, the leopard has very large, sharp, claws.  This characteristic helps them by the claws slashing the animals skin.  Another example, they have dark brown or black fur.  This helps them because they can hide in bushes or long grass and not be seen. All these characteristics help the leopard in its survival for food and life.

The leopard has elements that they needs to live in its habitat.  For example, leopards need a minimum of fifty-five millimeters of rainfall.  They need this in their habitat because they need water to drink and they will die if they do not have enough water.  In addition, they can live in desert and rainforest environments.  They live in these areas so that they have different supply of food and do not run out.  Another example, they have to live in areas below 8000 feet.  They cannot live above this elevation because there will not be enough food to eat and there will be very little water.  The leopard needs all of these elements in his habitat to get food, water, and other necessities.

the leopard has very unique physical characteristics that help them to survive in their habitat.  we should protect the jungle from poachers and other dangers so it will have a way to survive in its habitat.
