Why do a tiger's claws retract? The powerful white tiger from the phylum chordate is an extremely skilled hunter.  A White Tiger has many physical characteristics to help it survive in the wild.

One of these features is a tigers thirty razor sharp teeth.  This helps a tiger in defense against predators, and also in viciously ripping its prey to pieces so it can devour it.  Another example is a tigers unique eyes and vision; unlike all other tigers a white tiger has blue  eyes. This helps a tiger see up to six times better than people in the dark.  This phenomenon occurs due to a retinal adaptation which reflects light back into the retina.  Another example is is a tigers paws with retractable claws.  This helps A tiger to be quieter while hunting.

A white tiger needs very few but crucial elements to survive.  White tigers are mostly found in southern Russia and northern china.  This shows how a white tigers fur has adapted to its surroundings because of the snow in Russia and China.  A tiger normally lives with in ten to thirty square kilometers of its prey.  This shows that a tiger would most likely move with its prey if it were ever to migrate.  Another important element to a tigers survival is water.  This shows that though bold and powerful a tiger still needs water like all other living organisms to survive.

In conclusion a white tiger has many characteristics to help it survive in the wild.  to help keep this animal in existence we must stop hunting them and destroying their habitat.
