Killer Whales

Isn't it amazing that a killer whale has layer of blubber.  The killer whale is a very interesting  Chordata and invertebrate.  Though the killer whale does have some requirements.  Killer whales have many unique characteristics that help them survive in their habitat.  For example, one characteristic is their thick layers of blubber.  This characteristic benefits the whale by keeping it warm in the cooler waters.  For example, another characteristic is their large conical shaped teeth.  This characteristic helps the killer whale because they have two rows of teeth so if one comes out they have another to replace it.  Another example is their sub triangular long based high dorsal fin.  This allows the whale to move faster in the water.  Now hopefully you have learned new things about the killer whale and its physical characteristics.

Killer whales have many likes and dislikes in their habitats.  For example, killer whales prefer cooler waters then warm water.  This element shows that killer whales enjoy cooler water than warm probably because of their layers of blubber which keep them warm.  For example, killer whales also prefer deep open water.  This element shows that killer whales like to have to open space to travel in.  In addition killer whales swim in pods with up to fifty members.  This also shows that killer whales prefer to travel with other whales.  Now you have learned some of the likes of killer whales in their habitats.

Killer Whales require an open area so that it can move around easier as well as swim.  The killer whale also requires a clean habitat.  It is important that we keep our oceans clean ,and free of  pollution so the killer whale can be safe.
