The Syrian hamster is a small mammal that has many unique characteristics. For example, one characteristic is they can fill their cheeks with food. This characteristic helps by they can carry a good amount of food at one time. In addition, another characteristic is they have a robust body and short broad feet. This characteristic shows that the animal can stay fairly close to the ground. For example they also have dark eyes, long whiskers, and sharp claws. In conclusion these characteristics help the Syrian hamster survive in its habitat.
The many habitat requirements help the Syrian hamster survive. For example, the Syrian hamster can live in grassy plains. This shows that the hamster can be hidden in the long grass and foliage. Another example is they can also live in sand dunes. This shows that the hamster can burrow holes and escape from predators. The hamster can also live in semi-arid areas. In conclusion, the Syrian hamster can easily adapt to its surroundings.
