It lives, it swims, it gets eaten by its mother. From the phylum Chordata, the Red Veiltail Guppy is a truly amazing specimen. The guppy has many wonderful characteristics that enable it to survive in its environment.
Guppies have numerous helpful characteristics. For example, Guppies have long fan-like tails. This shows that they are able to swim quickly away from predators. Another helpful characteristic is their bright colors. This shows that they are able to hide among brightly colored plants and rocks, and also able to attract mates with their amazing display of colors. in addition to the other characteristics, female guppies are larger. This shows that the females are the gender that give birth, and that they are able to have many babies at a time. All of a guppies characteristic are helpful to them, each in a different way.
In order for a guppy to survive, it must have certain elements in its environment. For example, guppies usually live in small pools in streams, sometimes in oceans. This shows that without water, they would die. Another example of a necessity of a guppy is having many small insects and plants in their habitat. This shows that they need the plants and insects as a food source, and also that they are omnivorous. In addition to the other elements, the temperature of the water it lives in must be cool. This shows that if the water is warm, or hot, it interferes with the guppies nervous system, and eventually causes it to die. In conclusion, guppies are fish that require certain elements to thrive, and if it does not have them, they die.
The guppy has many useful characteristics that help it to survive in its environment, but a young guppy does not. Remember, a child guppy is helpless. You are not. Stop guppy mothers eating their children by removing the young from their mothers as soon as possible, and raising them in a safe environment.
