Precipitation

    Precipitation happens when water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into clouds and falls to the earth.  Precipitation can take the form of rain, snow, ice pellets, and hale.  Storms can make large amounts of precipitation.  About 300 km. of precipitation falls on land each day.
