Fossils
By: KBP
Comes from the Latin word "to dig". Fossils are the remains of animals and plants, or the record of their presence, preserved in the rocks of the Earth. Fossilization is the process that turns a once living thing into a fossil. There are lots of fossils to be found, but only a tiny number of all the animals and plants that ever lived have been fossilized. Fossils represent the remains of once living things. Fossils are preserved from a geologic age. Being or resembling a fossil.
