The Legend of the Candy Cane

The candy cane is made of white candy because it represents my Savior, whose
sinless and pure

The red represents his blood
shed for me!

is for Jesus my Lord, turn it around and a
staff you will see, Jesus my shepherd was born for me!

When we break a candy cane it reminds us that Jesus body was broken for me!
When we have communion it is a reminder of what he did for me!

Green is sometimes added as a reminder that Jesus is a gift from God.
6.
You should share a candy cane with someone else in love because it shows that same
love of Jesus because He is to be shared with one another in love.
7.
It is peppermint because it is similar to hyssop. Hyssop is in the mint family and
was used in the old Testament for purification and sacrifice. Jesus is the pure Lamb of
God, come to be a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

Hard candy is used because Christ is the rock of ages.

1.The white candy symbolizes
the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus.
2. The large red
stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so
that we could have the promise of eternal life.
3.Right side up you will
see a J for Jesus . Up side down you will see a staff for shepherds.
4. Hard to symbolize the solid rock, the foundation
on the Church.
5. Sometimes a
green stripe is added as a reminder that Jesus is a gift
from God.
6. We can share candy canes by the love of Jesus by loving people .
7. Pepper mint reminds us of hyssop-another member of the mint family.

The candy maker that made the
candy cane made it white to represent the purity of Christ . The red on the candy cane
represents the blood of Christ. The candy canes shape represents the staff for a
Shepherd and if you turn it the other way it is a J for Jesus. When we break our candy
cane it reminds us that Jesus body was broken for us. The green stripe is sometimes
added because it is a reminder that Jesus is a gift from God. We share our candy canes
because it gives love and reminds us that Jesus loves us. The candy canes are peppermint
