Problem : Does each 1.69 oz bag of plain M&M candy have the same number of each color?

 

Materials: 4 bags of 1.69 oz M&M candy

 

Procedure: 1. open the bag   2. take out the candy  3. divide by color  4. count them  5. recount them  6. record your data  7. eat them

 

Observations: There were less blues then any other color.

Analysis and Conclusion: There were more M&Ms in bag two. There was not an equal number of candies in each bag because each  M&M candy does not weigh the same amount.
