An Emerald is a green gemstone that is hard. It also sometimes contains a material called "silk" which causes the rock to have a moss like appearance. An Emerald has the same weight of a diamond but costs a lot more. The Uralian emerald is the green variety of andradite. Large amounts of Emeralds have been found in Siberia.
