Mid -ocean ridges are some of the largest mountain ranges on Earth that are located under the ocean. The mid-ocean ridge forms an almost continuous mountain belt. Mid-ocean ridges are areas where molten material from deep within the earth flow up to the surface. along mid -ocean ridges, hydrothermal fluids emerge from the sea floor.
