Rock Cycle

mandy n.

The rock cycle describes how rocks change, or evolve.  Any kind of rock, if it's eroded sediments are deposited, compacted, and cemented can become a new sedimentary rock.  If a rock is buried moderately deep it can become metamorphic.  If temperature and pressure become high enough, a rock can melt to form magma and a new igneous rock.
