Chemical Weathering
Justin L
Chemical weathering involves the breakdown of the primary minerals in the rock to new secondary minerals that are more stable in the surface environment. chemical weathering occurs when rain falls and deposits chemicals that erode many objects like rocks. There are many reactions , but they can be grouped into major categories that follow: Hydrolysis, Carbonation, Hydration, Oxidation, Ion-exchange, and mineral weatherability. All these reactions deal with the eroding of things.
This is a picture of chemical weathering breaking down the rocks.
