Precipitation
Christina M.
Precipitation is rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow. It is the last stage of the water cycle. Rain happens when droplets in a cloud become too heavy and fall toward the earth. Hail is a large frozen raindrop. Freezing rain happens when rain becomes super cooled and freezes upon impact with cold surfaces. Sleet is frozen rain that bounce when they hit the ground, and snow is ice crystals.
