Did you know that the deepest part of the ocean is found in trenches along the edges of an ocean? A trench is a long, narrow crack that sometimes can be more than 11,000 meters deep Their is a trench called the Mariana Trench. This trench is located in the Pacific Ocean. It contains the deepest spot known in the world. This spot is called Challenger Deep. It is 11,000 meters deep. There are many trenches that are in the the Pacific Ocean, but there are a few that are in the Atlantic Ocean.
