Longitude

Longitude is a measure of a distance from east to west of the prime meridian. Longitude can be though of as dividing the Earth in half. Longitude is a measure ion half circles of 0º to 180º east and from 0º to 180º west. Meridians are used to help measure longitude. Each meridian marks 1º of longitude around the Earth.
