    A transform fault is a type of strike-slip fault in an ocean, occurring at the boundaries of lithosperic plates, in which the direction of movement of the crustal blocks is reversed in similarity to a strike-slip fault on land.  At mid-ocean ridges the offset between adjacement ridge sections is a transform fault.  Usually Transform Faults occur at right angles
