 S-wave

S waves or (secondary waves) are smaller earthquakes that can occur after the primary wave or (P waves).  S waves can travel through all of the solid layers of the Earth but it can not travel through the liquid outer core

 

S waves carry energy through out the Earth.

P-WAVE or (PRIMARY  WAVE)

S-WAVE  or (SECONDARY  WAVE)

 

S-waves occur after P-waves.
