Surface Wave

      Stephanie S.

A surface wave is also called a ground wave. A ground wave is a radio wave that travels along the surface of the earth.  A ground wave has a wavelength of 0.5 cm to 30,000 m.  Ground waves do not include ionospheric and tropospheric waves.  A ground wave multiplies close to the surface of the Earth.  I have drawn a picture of a  ground wave (surface wave) to show you where the ground waves are.
