Q. What is anthrax?

A. Anthrax is a disease caused by the bacteria bacillus anthacis.  It was originally a animal disease that has been around for tens and thousands of years. The bacteria can form spores that remain alive in soil and or water for several years.

Q. What are some ways I can get anthrax?

A. You can get anthrax by touching something that contains anthrax. You can inhale air that contains anthrax spores. You can digest anthrax, for example you can be infected with anthrax by simply eating a cattle that has been infected by anthrax.
