MY TURTLE POEM

Turtles are cool

But he cant go to school

so they stay at home at pick at peoples bones

They snap tap and can even do a little rap

They live in water

Not with Harry Potter

They can live on land

Not with n'syncs band

So turtles are cool and they wile rule.

TURTLES and TORTOISES are another ancient group of reptiles and contain about 250 species. The common feature to turtles is their shell, which forms part of the skeleton. This skeletal structure has dictated some drastic adaptations. A turtle's shoulder girdle is located inside the rib cage, which is part of the shell along with the backbone. Also, since the chest cannot expand, breathing is accomplished by contracting different sets of muscles than in other animals. Sizes of turtles range from about 1/2 inch long to the Giant Tortoises 4 feet long to leatherback sea turtles 6 1/2 feet long.
