Third grade students researched Christmas Customs using the Internet. Next, the students created a Word file and entered their information to practice their text formatting skills. Then, the students opened a paint program to create illustrations for their work. Finally, students copied and pasted their artwork into Word.

The Advent Wreath

The Advent Wreath is shaped liked a circle.  God’s love is endless. The Advent Wreath has four candles.  The colors of the candles are pink and purple. They remind us that Jesus is the light of the world. We should prepare our heart he is coming!

The Christmas Tree

One day a man named Martin Luther looked at a tree and stars were shining though it. He rushed home and put candles on the tree. You can put ornaments, popcorn, nuts, and apples. I use ornaments on my tree.  It’s not safe to put candles on your tree because the tree can burn up.

Las Posadas

Posada means shelter in Spanish.  Mary and Joseph went to look for a place for baby Jesus. He was born in Bethlehem.   We carry candles, sing songs, and ask for shelter during Las Posadas. Neighbors say, “Go away there isn’t any more room here.” At last they find shelter to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
