Amun
The
god Amun's name means " The Hidden One". He was
the patron deity of the city, Thebes. His sacred animals were the
goose and the ram. Amun was a local god. By dynasty eighteen he
was termed " King of all Gods". By dynasty 19 or 20, he
was called, an invincible god who was the source of all
life everywhere. He was the protector of any pious devotee in
need. Amun was also self created. Amun and Mutt had a child,
Khans, the Moon God. This god is still worshiped today.
